7) Revenge of the Sith

Whilst the first two entries into the prequel trilogy weren’t particularly well-received, its climatic end was everything that fans and critics alike hoped it would be.

Scoring 79% on Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith’ showed how Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) transformed into the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader, and the fall of the Republic, with the dreaded Empire rising to take its place.

The 2005 film also features what many consider to be the best lightsaber duel ever put to screens, with a newly-christened Vader locking blades with his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi with devastating consequences.
