Suki Waterhouse "can't believe" she's so happy with Robert Pattinson.
The 34-year-old model, singer and actress has been dating The Odyssey actor since 2018 and they have a two-year-old daughter together, but their busy schedules make it "quite hard" to have a strong relationship, so she's delighted things are still so good between them.
She told the Sunday Times Style magazine: "It’s quite hard to make something work where you’re both doing these kinds of jobs, when you don’t live in one place and you’re travelling a lot.
“It is almost a decade [of their relationship] and that is a beautiful thing. It’s a thing that I go, I can’t believe that I have this in my life and I can’t believe that I’m so happy. And maybe I was surprised because before I had only ever gone out with someone for two years and if it was two years it would have been a disaster at the end.”
The couple's wedding plans are currently on hold, at least until next year when they will have some "downtime".
Suki said: “It would either be all or nothing. If we were going to go for it we’d have a massive party, blow it out.”
The Daisy Jones and the Six star takes her daughter on tour with her and admitted the youngster's life has been filled with upheaval because of her famous parents' career commitments.
Suki said: "Our life since having our daughter, which is strange and backwards, hasn’t been anywhere. We’ve been in rentals and moving every couple of months and we just haven’t been home.
“It’s been wherever we can base ourselves and wherever we can stay together as a family.”
But the family are hoping to be based in one place next year and Suki is "very confident" that she and the 40-year-old actor are "great" parents.
She said: “I’m two and a half years into motherhood now and I feel very confident that we’re great parents and juggling a slightly abnormal life, but I feel good about how we’re doing it and we are both just so connected to her. She’s such a wonderful, happy girl.”
Suki was "humbled" after having her daughter because she didn't realise how much she would change as a result of becoming a parent.
She said of writing her new album Loveland in the months after giving birth: “I just wanted to get out what was going on at that time because I felt very vulnerable, very raw, very unsure.
"You kind of think, Oh, I’ll pop out a baby and I’ll go back to being myself, I’ll have it down. And it’s like, no. You’re humbled. You feel so unlike yourself because you’ve taken on this very unexpected personal transformation. The mother is birthed into an entirely new human, with a new brain, and you just become an unrecognisable person.”
