Rory Culkin says the love he has for his baby daughter outweighs the challenges of parenthood.

The 37-year-old actor and his 38-year-old partner, cinematographer Kate Arizmendi, welcomed their first child together, Havoc Moon, in May, and although he relishes being a dad, fatherhood has given him a new perspective on life.

Rory explained to People: "Fatherhood has been lovely. Really such a pleasure. I mean, everyone was telling me how difficult it is - and it is - but that’s outweighed so much by the love."

He added: "Certain movies will hit harder now. Having a child introduces you to time, and now everything just feels a little heavier. I mean, when I have to say goodbye to her, I get choked up on the train … there’s just more gravity now, you know?"

The Nocturne star's brothers, actors Macaulay Culkin, 46, and Kieran Culkin, 44, are also parents.

Kieran and his wife Jazz Charton are parents to daughter Kinsey, seven, son Wilder, five, and a second son, who was born in 2025 and name has not been publicly revealed, while Macaulay has sons Dakota, five, and Carson, three, with his 38-year-old fiancée, actress Brenda Song.
