Heidi Klum's daughter doesn't think she could ever beat her mom's Halloween efforts.

Leni Klum, 22, was among the guests at the Project Runway host's annual spooky party in New York on Saturday (31.10.26) night, and while she always gets into the spirit of the event, dressing as Miss Piggy this year, she doesn't think she could ever take over hosting duties from her mother because she's so committed to the occasion.

Walking the red carpet at the event, Leni told E! News: “I don't think anyone can fill her shoes at all when it comes to Halloween.

"I just love coming and I love dressing up. I love seeing her costume in person. She does better and better every single year, which I didn't even think is possible.

"After I saw the worm, I was like, 'How are you gonna top this?' And then that just continued. So yeah, I don't think anyone can really take it over...

"I'll definitely carry on partying and dressing up every year. I think dressing up is fun. It's the one [time of] year that you can be as crazy as you want, do something, and step out of your comfort zone. So definitely that."

This year, Heidi - who also has Henry, 21, Johan, 19, and Lou, 17, with ex-husband Seal - dressed as a severed hand and the elaborate costume left Leni "speechless".

Asked her reaction, she said: "Speechless. I saw it online first because I came a little late, and I just kept rewatching the video over and over.

"But in person, it's so much crazier than just seeing a photo or a video online. It's so real and creepy, and to see that that's your mom and like all this blood is like just a little scary, but so cool."

Heidi previously revealed she had based the costume on her own hand.

She told Good Morning America: “My inspiration was my hand.

"It is actually my hand, like, even the veins and everything. You know how everything you can now do with 3D [printing]? They scan you and everything?

“We started at 3:00 today, so today wasn’t so bad."

The costume was put together by Heidi's long-term collaborator Mike Marino and the Project Runway host is always in awe of his attention to detail.

She told Vogue magazine: “We even recreated my engagement ring and wedding band, as well as the little tattoo on my finger.

“Nothing was overlooked! I love that Mike pays attention to things that most people might not even notice at first. The details make these costumes so special. It’s not just any giant hand: It’s my giant hand!"

Heidi - who is married to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz - wanted people to find her costume "funny and bizarre" and find the same joy she did in taking something ordinary and doing something unexpected with it.

She said: "I always love to do something unexpected. Every year, I want to surprise people and do something that they haven’t seen me - or anyone - do before. Halloween is my favourite time of year because I get to completely transform myself and become something totally different.

“I love the idea of taking something so common, and that we see every single day, something we probably never even think twice about, and turning it into something larger than life. I thought it would be funny and bizarre to take something so familiar and twist it."
