5) Rogue One
Disney’s first venture into making a ’Star Wars’ spin-off movie was a complete success.
’Rogue One: A Star Wars story’ received an 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. With it’s more mature war-story tone, explaining how the rebels stole the Death Star plans before ‘A New Hope’, it is understandable why the 2016 movie is loved by fans and critics alike.
When fans think of the picture, the first thing that is likely to come to Darth Vader’s hallway scene, where he slices his way though terrified rebels who desperately try to get the plans to safety.
However, the scene wasn’t always going to appear, as director Gareth Edwards revealed it was a late addition to the film.
In an interview, he said: “The film ended with Darth Vader seeing the blockade get released and go, and my editor, Jabez Olsen… he said, ‘I think there should be one more moment with Vader, he should be on board the ship or something.’ [Kathleen Kennedy] said, ‘that’s a really good idea.’ So soon we got given the opportunity and some money to go do this.”
