Masters of the Universe

Created by Mattel, the Masters of the Universe action figure line debuted in 1982 and became a must-have toy following the release of the cartoon TV series 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe' in 1983.

The range was focused on hero He-Man and his arch nemesis Skeletor and was set on the fantastical planet Eternia.

Another huge selling point was that each figure sold came with a minicomic which told a story based on the character.

He-Man remains as popular today as ever with numerous new projects, including Kevin Smith's Netflix sequel series 'Masters of the Universe: Revelation'.
