Tenet
In 2020, cinema goers were starved of seeing the latest-greatest movies due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So, when Christopher Nolan released ‘Tenet’, many rushed to see it, only to leave the theatre completely perplexed.
The movie - which stars John David and Robert Pattinson - deals with time travel and time reversal, and that paired with Nolan’s non-linear directing style confused lots of audience members.
Even Pattinson admitted he had a hard time understanding the story during filming.
‘The Batman’ actor said: “When you’re doing them, I mean, there were months at a time where I’m like, ‘Actually, honestly, I have no idea if I’m even vaguely understanding what’s happening.’ And yeah, I would definitely say that to John David. On the last day, I asked him a question about what was happening in a scene, and it was just so profoundly the wrong take on the character. And it was like, ‘Have you been thinking this the entire time?’”
