A football fanatic

Other than music and model trains, the other big passion in Rod's life is football. He is a passionate supporter of Scottish Premiership team Celtic.

During his youth, Rod even had trials with Brentford FC as a teen, but later said he wasn’t committed enough to carve out a professional footballing career.

Even so, Stewart still attributes his love of the sport for saving him from becoming reliant on alcohol.

He recalled: “Especially Sunday mornings, I couldn't drink too much, because it would have ruined my game. So, football sort of saved me a little bit.”
