Busking start 

In 1962, Stewart started to busk with folk singer Raymond ‘Wizz’ Jones on the streets of London, where he sang and played the harmonica.

Over the next 18 months, Rod and Jones travelled to places like Brighton and Paris to perform - where he slept under bridges over the River Seine - and then finally to Barcelona.

Stewart was eventually deported from Spain for vagrancy in 1963.
