A busy love life
Rod is the definition of a ladies man, and his romantic life featured many partners before he settled down with his wife and soulmate Penny Lancaster.
In 1961, at the age of 17, the singer met Susannah Boffey in a nightclub, and the pair started dating and soon the young art student fell pregnant with Stewart’s eldest daughter Sarah Streeter.
In 1975, Rod was introduced to Bond Girl Britt Ekland - who starred opposite Roger Moore in ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ - with the pair later striking up a passionate relationship.
The couple lived together for two years before eventually calling it quits after Britt accused Rod of having an affair.
In 1979, Rod married actress-and-model Alana Stewart - who had left husband George Hamilton to be with the singer - and later they welcomed daughter Kimberly and son Sean.
Once his marriage ended in 1984, Stewart started seeing model Kelly Emberg, who was 15 years younger than him, and they embarked on a seven-year relationship, during which they had daughter Ruby together.
Model-and-actress Rachel Hunter (pictured) came next, and after meeting the New Zealand model at a club in 1991, the pair got hitched three months later.
Hunter - who is 26 years younger than the singer - welcomed daughter Renee in 1992 and son Liam two years later before deciding to split from Stewart in 1999. Their divorce was finalised in 2006.
