Given it would go on to become one of the most beloved movies of the 1980s, it won’t come as a surprise to hear ‘Beetlejuice’ got its time in the spotlight at the Academy Awards.

The blockbuster won the Best Makeup prize, and also took home the same title and Best Horror Film at the Saturn Awards.

It wasn’t just award ceremonies that ‘Beetlejuice’ shone, as the movie impressed at the box office.

On a budget of $15 million, the flick grossed over $84 million, making the supernatural comedy a very profitable flick.
