Baldwin not a fan

While audiences loved ‘Beetlejuice’, the same couldn’t be said for all of the cast.

Burton later admitted Alec Baldwin - who played the recently-deceased Adam Maitland - wasn’t particularly taken by the final product.

The director said: “I don’t think he saw it for what it was.”

Even so, Keaton was very impressed with Burton’s work.

He reflected: “From an art perspective, I don’t know how you get better than ‘Beetlejuice’. If you consider the process of taking something from someone’s mind and putting it on the screen, I think that movie is incomparable. When things are like that, they’ll just last forever.”
