While casting Lydia Deetz turned into a bit of a headache for Burton, signing both Keaton and Geena Davis was incredibly easy.

The two actors immediately agreed to star in the project after meeting with the director, and it was here that Burton also started to toy with the idea of Keaton playing Batman in his 1989 eponymous superhero flick.
