The Dark Knight Rises
Although it was not perfect, Christopher Nolan managed to wrap up his Batman trilogy in a respectable and satisfying way with ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.
Scoring 87% on the reviewing platform, the 2012 movie, which stars Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader, team up with Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) to prevent the menacing Bane (Tom Hardy) from bringing Gotham City to its knees.
Despite being praised for his performance as the villain, Tom admitted he didn’t enjoy becoming Bane due to the weight he had to put on to have an imposing presence.
He said: “If you really study the photographs [of Bane], I was really overweight, actually. I ate a lot and I wasn't much heavier than I am now, but I just ate more pizza.
“They shoot from low to make you look big. people would lift up the lids on their motorbike [helmets] and say 'I always thought you were bigger, mate'... I was just bald, slightly porky and with pencil arms."
