Batman Begins
Christopher Nolan’s 'Dark Knight' trilogy is one of the best series of films in the comic book genre.
With an outstanding 85% on the reviewing platform, first film ‘Batman Begins’ sees Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne create his crime-fighting persona to clean-up crim-ridden Gotham City.
Bruce's mission is disrupted by his mentor-turned-enemy, Ra’s Al Ghul (Liam Neeson) as Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy) attempts to flood the city with dangerous, nightmare-inducing toxins.
Although he is now considered as arguably the best iteration of Batman, Christian recalled people mocked him for taking on the role in the 2005 film.
He said: “"I would [tell people] we're going to sort of do Batman, but take him seriously. I had tons of people laugh at me and just say, 'Well, that's just not going to work at all.’ It's wonderful to be a part of a trilogy that proved those people wrong.
"I'm not certain if it kickstarted [the Marvel Cinematic Universe] but it certainly helped along the way."
