The Dark Knight
Hailed as one of the best comic book movies of all time, it’s no wonder that ‘The Dark Knight’ is considered the best Batman movie.
Earning an amazing 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, the 2008 movie managed to break out of superhero movie box, and became a non-stop thriller that all audiences loved.
The film is probably best known for Health Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker, which was such a unique and terrifying take on the character, it earned the actor a posthumous Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
Sir Michael Caine, who played Batman’s butler Alfred in the flick, praised Heath and revealed his performance was so scary, he forgot all of his lines.
Caine said: “He’ll frighten the life out of you. He did me the first time I saw him, because we did a rehearsal on the first day and we hadn’t met or anything. He had to come up in an elevator to our home, Batman’s home. I’m thinking I’m letting friends in, instead of which he’s killed them all and he’s coming up in the lift. So on the first rehearsal … when the bloody door opened on that lift, he came tearing out. I forgot every line. Terrifying.”
