Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Zack Snyder’s DC Extended Universe was short-lived, and it’s clear to see why.
With a measly score of 29% on Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ divided fans, particularly over the decisions to showcase a brutal and inaccurate portrayal of the Dark Knight (Ben Affleck), remove all of the charm and selflessness of the Kryptonian hero (Henry Cavill), all wrapped in a contrived and confusing story.
After the backlash, Ben admitted he could understand why people didn’t take kindly to the 2016 movie due to its dark tone.
He said: "I can understand people saying ‘[Batman v Superman’] was too dark, or this was outside the tone of what I'm used to seeing with a Batman story, and I think that's a fair criticism.”
