Morgan Freeman in Bruce Almighty

Known for movies like ‘Million Dollar Baby’ and ‘The Shawshank Redemption,’ 86-year-old Morgan Freeman played God in the 2003 film ‘Bruce Almighty'.

Directed by Tom Shadyac, the film revolves around the life of a frustrated reporter named Bruce (Jim Carrey), who blames God on his bad luck and complains to him that he is not doing his job correctly and helping him in his life. Following his complaint, God then offers him the opportunity to step into his shoes and to be God himself for seven days.

In 2007, Freeman reprised his role as God in the spin-off ‘Evan Almighty.’
