Harvey Stephens in The Omen
One of the eeriest performances in the history of horror films is the one delivered by then child-star Harvey Stephens, 53, in the 1976 film ‘The Omen'.
Directed by 'Superman' filmmaker Richard Donner, 91, the movie tells the story of Stephens’ character, Damien Thorn, whose parents begin experiencing a series of disturbing and mysterious events as soon as their adopted son enters childhood.
It is eventually revealed that Damien, is in fact, the Antichrist. For his performance, Stephens was nominated to a Golden Globe for Best Acting Debut – Male, while Jerry Goldsmith took home the Oscar for Best Original Score.
