Whoopi Goldberg in A Little Bit of Heaven

The 2011 movie ‘A Little Bit of Heaven' showed the audience a female perspective on the depiction of God, as 'Sister' Act' star Whoopi Goldberg took on that role.

Directed by Nicole Kassell, the film revolves around Mary (Kate Hudson), a terminal cancer patient to whom God appears while under the effects of anaesthesia. During their encounter, God gives her three wishes. The rest of the cast includes Gael García Bernal, Kathy Bates and Peter Dinklage, among others.
