Staying silent

John Wick isn’t known for his long-winded monologues, though Keanu Reeves had his reasons for keeping the hitman a mostly silent protagonist.

In fact, the actor wanted the stunts and action scenes of the ‘John Wick’ movies to be the main dialogue of the franchise.

Chad Stahelski explained: “Mr. Reeves stripped out roughly half the dialogue written for his character in the initial script.”

In total, John Wick only says 380 words in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’.
