The Innkeepers (2011)

'The Innkeepers', directed by Ti West, tells the tale of the real and supposedly-haunted Yankee Pedlar Inn, as two unsuspecting employees are tormented by deranged and evil spirits.

Shockingly, this story might have been truer than West would have liked.

Discussing the shooting process, West said: "I’ve definitely seen doors close by themselves; I’ve seen a TV turn off and on by itself; lights would always burn out in my room.

"Everyone on crew has very vivid dreams every night, which is really strange."

Not only that, but the director wanted to confirm which was the "most haunted room" in the hotel before filming. Of course, Ti found that the Honeymoon Suite took the terrifying title, which was the room that was reportedly the most haunted in the first place.
