After winning a Best Actress Oscar for her performance as FBI trainee Clarice Starling in 1991 horror film ‘The Silence of the Lambs’, you’d think Jodie Foster would jump at the chance to star in its sequel… you’d be wrong!

Foster decided to decline the offer to reprise her role in 2001's ‘Hannibal’, meaning that Julianne Moore was cast as the character.

Jodie stated that a scheduling conflict with her film 'Flora Plum' was the reason she spurned the chance to be in Ridley Scott's sequel.
