Tom Selleck in Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones is one of Harrison Ford’s most iconic roles but the actor wasn't wanted by George Lucas after they had previously collaborated on 'Star Wars'.

Initially, Tom Selleck was eyed to play the beloved fedora-wearing hero, and had even completed a screen test for the part, but ultimately was unable to commit due to his work on the TV show ‘Magnum P.I.’.

Despite his misgivings, Lucas allowed Ford to audition for the part and the rest is history.
