Halle Berry in Speed

Although she would go on to star alongside Keanu Reeves in 2019’s ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum’, Halle Berry could have worked with the actor a quarter of a century earlier.

The actress was almost cast in the 1994 action thriller 'Speed' - about a bus that will explode if it drops below 50mph - in the role of Howard Payne but declined, much to her regret.

Berry recalled: "I was offered ‘Speed’ before Sandra Bullock.

"I stupidly said no. But in my defence, when I read the script the bus didn’t leave the parking lot."

She added: "I see the movie and I’m like, ‘arrrghhh'."
