Changing characters
Unsurprisingly, Christopher Nolan's version of 'Interstellar' was very different to Steven Spielberg's.
In the 'Jurassic Park' director's version, Joseph Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) was set to travel across the galaxy with his brother, which would later be changed to his daughter Murphy 'Murph' Cooper – as played by Jessica Chastain.
The actress said changing the familial relationship between the characters set the movie apart from other pictures in the genre as it made 'Interstellar' more "complex".
She explained: "By changing the sex, it made it more complex.
"We've seen many Hollywood stories about a son becoming a man with his father's help. That's almost every journey in cinema. It's rare we see the dynamic between a father and a daughter. If you're supposed to be protected, and you're left behind, what kind of relationship does that create?"
