'Interstellar' really did reach for the stars when it came to the box office!

On a budget of $165 million, the flick opened with $133 million, making it the tenth-largest opening for 2014, and ended its theatrical run with $701.7 million worldwide.

The film was also nominated for five Academy Awards and took home the statue for Best Visual Effects.
