Ferrari lawsuit

Sonny Crockett’s beloved Ferrari Daytona is a staple of the series but it wasn't actually a Ferrari at all in the early episodes.

In fact, the vehicle was a custom built 1980 Corvette that had been styled to resemble a Daytona.

Ferrari were angered by the imposter car and filed a lawsuit against the programme's creators.

An agreement was later reached with Ferrari providing two new Testarossas - with the fake 'Ferrari' destroyed on the programme.
