Retirement

In 2009, Turner retired from performing after completing her 'Tina! 50th Anniversary Tour'.

The tour is the 15th-highest-grossing tour of the 2000s.

Once she put her microphone away, Tina and Erwin spent many happy years retired at their home in Kusnacht, Switzerland.

In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, Tina opened up about what her retirement was like.

She said: "I have, for example, some artefacts of Egyptian art. I like to be surrounded by these and other collectibles. It is not at all about whether they are expensive or valuable. The important thing is that I have a personal relationship with each one. I love the view of Lake Zurich from our garden - I enjoy the peace and quiet.

"I love to sit in my garden and listen to nature, take loving care of my plants. I also enjoy chatting with friends."
