RIP Tina
In her 2018 memoir 'My Love Story', Tina revealed that she had suffered multiple life-threatening illnesses.
In 2013 - just three weeks after her wedding to Erwin - she suffered a stroke. The recovery was long and she even had to learn to walk again.
In 2016, Turner was diagnosed with intestinal cancer and after trying homeopathic remedies to cure the disease, the 'Proud Mary' singer was left with total kidney failure.
She was saved by Erwin who donated his own kidney to save his wife, with the successful operation being carried out in April 2017.
Tina passed away at her home in Switzerland on Wednesday (24.05.23) at the age of 83.
Her spokesperson said in a statement: "Tina Turner, the 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll' has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.
"With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model."
