Beverley Callard lets slip I'm A Celebrity...South Africa final date
Beverley Callard is taking part in the second series of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa, which airs on ITV this year.
Beverley Callard has accidentally let slip when the final of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa will air.
The 68-year-old actress has confirmed she is taking part in the second series of ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! spin-off show - which sees memorable contestants from seasons past live in harsh conditions and do gruesome challenges again.
Beverley - who did the 2020 series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! when it was filmed in North Wales and not Australia due to the COVID-19 pandemic - initially kept tight-lipped when asked for details on her upcoming appearance.
Appearing on a February episode of The Hard Shoulder podcast, she said: "I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about this yet.
"But you obviously know. Yep, I was shooting it in South Africa. And I can't tell you more than that."
After host Shane Colman noted that the weather was "a bit better" during production of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa - filmed in Kruger National Park - Beverley accidentally let slip when the show's finale will air.
The Coronation Street alum revealed: "Oh, the weather was great. But the final is on the 24th of April.
"So it's all still to come."
It is believed that I'm A Celebrity...South Africa will start on April 6 as ITV has already confirmed that the programme will air weeknights for three weeks.
However, the network is yet to officially announce dates of broadcast, as well as the campmates taking part.
As well as Beverley, those who have reportedly signed up are former professional boxer David Haye, 45, reality TV icon Gemma Collins, 45, comedian Seann Walsh, 40, and 79-year-old ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp.
Googlebox alum Scarlett Moffatt, 35, Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas, 37, four-time Olympic gold medallist long-distance runner Mo Farah, 42, and Pussycat Dolls member Ashley Roberts, 44, are also thought to be taking part.
And completing the rumoured line-up are 1980s singer Sinitta, 62, Red Dwarf alum Craig Charles, 61, and 47-year-old ex-Wigan Athletic midfielder Jimmy Bullard.
But in September 2025, ITV confirmed an exciting show first for the new series, in that the public will have the power to decide which campmate is crowned the ultimate legend in 2026 after weeks of shocks, showdown and survival.
Viewers will be able to have their say and cast the final vote in a live grand final broadcast direct from London.
Speaking about the viewer vote, co-host Declan Donnelly, 50, said: "Having a live final is an exciting addition to the new series with the viewers choosing their IAC Legend and we’ve heard some of the new trials are truly epic, even by I’m A Celeb … standards!"
The debut series of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa aired in 2023, and saw the likes of former professional boxer Amir Khan, 39, TV personality Gillian McKeith, 66, former EastEnders actor Joe Swash, 44, and ex-Countdown star Carol Vorderman, 65, battle it out for survival.
TV presenter Myleene Klass, 47, was crowned the winner and named the first I’m A Celebrity…Legend.
And co-host Ant McPartlin, 50, was thrilled to hear I'm A Celebrity...South Africa had been recommissioned.
He said: "The campmates really brought their A-game to the first series, so we can’t wait to be back for more trials, challenges and surprises amongst the beautiful South African landscape."
Series two of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa will air on ITV1, STV and ITVX.
