Ross Kemp has reportedly signed up for The Celebrity Traitors.

The 61-year-old actor has joined The Celebrity Traitors, and Ross - who is best known for playing hardman Grant Mitchell in EastEnders - feels excited to "challenge himself".

A source told The Sun newspaper: "He loves Traitors and thinks it’s a programme on another level, which is why he really wanted to take part.

"Ross loved the mix of psychological intrigue paired with some of the very physical trials that the group have to complete – both suit him perfectly.

"He will be a huge hit with viewers who’ve watched him on screen for 36 years, and EastEnders fans in particular will be following him with interest."

Ross hopes that by appearing on the hit BBC show, he'll open himself up "to a whole new audience".

The insider shared: "He signed up now because he’s at a point in his life where he wants to try new things and continue to challenge himself.

"Plus he knows The Celebrity Traitors won’t just be watched by people who are familiar with his work, but by younger viewers who may be less familiar with Ross, and this opens him up to a whole new audience.

"He’s also a very BBC name and this is another big BBC show."

The BBC previously confirmed that The Celebrity Traitors final attracted an audience of 15 million people.

The show proved to be a huge hit with TV viewers, with the BBC announcing that the first series of The Celebrity Traitors concluded its run with a huge audience, becoming the biggest title of 2025 across the UK.

Kalpna Patel-Knight, the head of entertainment at the BBC, said at the time: "Studio Lambert have done an outstanding job as The Celebrity Traitors has well and truly captivated the nation, becoming a bona fide highlight of the year bringing record numbers of people together to enjoy every twist and turn.

"In 2026 the doors of the castle will be opened again to welcome celebrity players to the game to see who can charm, who can scheme and ultimately who can survive in series two which promises to be just as unmissable as the first. Plus with Uncloaked returning and today’s news of the positive contribution The Traitors brand has made to Scotland’s economy, there is plenty to celebrate."
