Sigourney Weaver - Aliens 3

Perhaps one of the most popular movies of the '70s and '80s, 'Alien' (1979) starred Sigourney Weaver as the iconic hero Ellen Ripley, fighting off the vicious Xenomorphs.

By 'Aliens 3' (1992) the actress had become fatigued by the franchise, and once Fox told her they were planning on making an Alien Vs. Predator movie, Sigourney thought it was time to throw in the towel, since she thought the movie would tarnish the 1986 classic: "Well, yes - because I heard that Fox was gonna do Alien vs. Predator. Which really depressed me because I was very proud of the movies."

Ripley would throw herself into a furnace in order to kill a Xenomorph queen that she was carrying in her body.
