Harrison Ford - Star Wars
Harrison Ford famously was a huge advocate for Han Solo to die in the galaxy far, far away.
The actor thought it would fit the smuggler if he sacrificed himself for the rebellion in the final act of 'Star Wars: Episode IV – Return of the Jedi' (1983): "I asked him to ask the writers to kill me off, because I thought that it would be good that the character who appeared to have not so much of a complex interweaving with the theme of the Force and all that good stuff... I thought it would be good that the character, if he sacrificed himself in some noble way."
Unfortunately, for Ford, Han Solo got out of the movie unscathed, but his wish was finally granted for 'Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens' (2015) when Han Solo was murdered by his son, Kylo Ren.
