Sean Connery - James Bond

As perhaps the actor that is synonymous with 007, it might come as a surprise to learn that Sir Sean Connery was very keen on killing off the fan-favourite spy.

Towards the end of his tenure as the agent, the star once said: "I have always hated that damned James Bond. I'd like to kill him."

Then, in an interview with The Guardian, he explained why he was fed up with the franchise: "I'd been [messed] about too much on other Bond pictures. There's so much bulls*** that comes from bad decisions being made at the top."
