The Angry Birds Movie

An adaptation of a mobile game might not sound like obvious movie material, but The Angry Birds Movie turned the colourful characters into a feature-length comedy in 2016.

Jason Sudeikis voiced Red, a short-tempered bird who becomes suspicious when mysterious green pigs arrive on the island.

The film was commercially successful and was followed by the sequel The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019), with a third film to come later this year.
