Russell Crowe was a real warrior on Gladiator, but the injuries were no act.

The actor - who played Maximus in Sir Ridley Scott’s 2000 historical epic - fractured a hip, broke bones in his foot and chipped a tooth while filming the Oscar-winning epic.

Crowe said: “I was like, ‘Just glue it back on and keep going.’”
