George Clooney’s Oscar-winning role in Syriana left him in agony.

While filming a torture scene, Clooney - who portrayed Bob Barnes in the 2005 film - injured his spine and suffered a tear in his dura, the membrane around the spinal cord, causing a brain fluid leak.

He recounted: “I thought I had a stroke. It was the most physically painful thing I’ve ever been through.”
