Neve Campbell - Scream VI

Having starred as Sidney Prescott in the ‘Scream’ franchise, Neve Campbell decided to miss out on 2023’s ‘Scream VI’ over a pay dispute.

The legendary ‘Scream Queen’ had been offered a role in the horror, but ultimately turned it down after concluding her proposed salary “did not equate to [her] value”.

However, Campbell is slated to return for ‘Scream 7’ - alongside Courteney Cox and Matthew Lillard - after Paramount came around to her pay demands.

She said: “I'm super grateful that they came around on it. [‘Scream VI’] just didn't feel right. I couldn't after this many decades of carrying a franchise, to feel undervalued and underpaid and to know that it wouldn't have happened to a man in that way. It just wouldn't make sense for me to walk on that set. So, I'm glad I stood up for myself.”
