Jamie Lee Curtis - Halloween
Jamie Lee Curtis made a name for herself after starring in the 1978 slasher ‘Halloween’ and its sequel ‘Halloween II’ as ‘final girl’ Laurie Strode, though parted ways with the series after deciding she wanted to step away from the horror genre.
She later said: “After ‘Halloween II’, I decided that I didn’t want to be handcuffed to one genre of film. I knew my reputation as the ‘Scream Queen’ and I loved what the genre gave me, but I didn’t want to be typecast. So, I stepped away from that genre for years. It was the first very conscious decision I had made in my career.”
While Curtis doesn’t appear in 1982’s ‘Halloween III: Season of the Witch’, the actress does have an uncredited voice role in the movie.
The ‘Freaky Friday’ star would later be drawn back to the franchise with 1998’s ‘Halloween H20: 20 Years Later’ and the rebooted trilogy, which concluded in 2022 with ‘Halloween Ends’.
