The King of Comedy
Despite being directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert De Niro as Rupert Pupkin - a struggling stand-up comedian with mental health issues - 'The King of Comedy' was no laughing matter for 20th Century Fox.
The 1983 black comedy made a dismal $2.5 million against its $19 million budget, and Scorsese would later admit the movie was "the flop of the year".
