It's a Wonderful Life
Although its considered one of the greatest Christmas films to come out of Hollywood, 'It's a Wonderful Life' put in an underwhelming performance at the box office.
The 1946 title had a $3.18 million budget, and needed to make $6.3 million to break even. Unfortunately, it ended its theatrical run with just $3.3 million.
This poor taking meant that director Frank Capra's production company, Liberty Films, lost $525,000.
