The Wolverine

While ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ certainly disappointed, it’s sequel was a far superior take on the character.

‘The Wolverine’ follows the iconic mutant hero as he travels back to Japan to meet with an old acquaintance whose on his death bed, though finds himself in peril once Wolverine’s friend attempts to take away his healing abilities to cheat death.

The 2013 film does a much better job at exploring the background and human side of the X-Man, and is rounded out by some fairly good character work and thrilling action sequences.
