Casting Bill

David Carradine is best known for his role the titular villain in the ‘Kill Bill’ movies, but the actor wasn’t always going to play the character.

Initially, Quentin Tarantino was set on casting Warren Beatty for the part, and even wrote the character with the actor in mind.

However, after realising the villain would have to be fairly proficient in martial arts, the director dropped Warren and offered David the role instead.
