Sleepless nights

Charlie Sheen briefly appears in the movie as Garth Volbeck, the boy Jeanie Bueller meets at the police station, and the dark circles under his eyes are telling of his problems.

However, the dark circles weren’t achieved through makeup. In fact, Charlie Sheen went two nights without sleeping to make sure he looked right for the role.

The character is nothing more than a fun cameo, though Garth originally would have had a proper back story.

In earlier drafts of the script, it was revealed that the character's father owned the tow company that took Ed Rooney's (Jeffrey Jones) car.
