John Boyega's Finn was meant to be the second lead in the sequels, but the character's importance faded after 'The Force Awakens'.

The British actor has been vocal about his diminishing role, especially in sequel trilogy finale 'The Rise of Skywalker', and has emphasised that Disney had mishandled Finn.

He said: "What I would say to Disney is do not bring out a black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are, and then have them pushed to the side. It’s not good. I’ll say it straight up."
