Mark Hamill
Even though it has been over six years since 'The Last Jedi' released, fans still fiercely debate whether Luke Skywalker's portrayal in the movie was appropriate.
The Jedi himself, Mark Hamill weighed in on the discussion, and emphasised that he "fundamentally disagreed with everything" director Rian Johnson had in mind for his older Luke Skywalker.
He explained: "I almost had to think of Luke as another character. Maybe he's 'Jake Skywalker,' he's not my Luke Skywalker. But I had to do what Rian wanted me to do because it serves the story well."
Hamill did get his chance to portray the Luke that 'Star Wars' fans love when he was de-aged for appearances in TV shows 'The Mandalorian' and 'The Book of Boba Fett'.
