Ewan McGregor has a very complicated relationship with Obi-Wan Kenobi and 'Star Wars'.

Before signing on to play the Jedi as a much younger man in 'The Phantom Menace' and the subsequent prequels, the Scottish actor admitted he was initially reluctant, because he considered himself a "Danny Boyle actor" after he starred in 'Trainspotting'.

Then, during production on the prequel trilogy, Ewan admitted "it was pretty hard" working with so much green-screen.

However, the actor's return as the Jedi in the Disney+ series 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' rejuvenated his love for the character.

He said: "I could not have imagined it would be so satisfying to play him again. It was really great."
