Stacey who?

Originally, Angus MacGyver was going to have a different name, with Paramount Pictures referring to the hero as “Stacey MacGyver”.

The name was later changed to Angus, with even Richard Dean Anderson admitting he didn’t know Stacey was the original name.

In fact, MacGyver’s first name wasn’t revealed until the Season 7 episode ‘Good Knight MacGyver’.
