Reboot
In 2016, ‘MacGyver’ came back to screens after a 24-year hiatus.
Starring Lucas Till in the titular role, the reboot received lukewarm reviews, though was successful enough to stay on air until 2021.
Looking back on the series, Lucas revealed making the program had been one of the most “magical and formative” experiences of his career, and emphasised he was upset when CBS decided to end it after the fifth season.
He said: “Honestly it was such a difficult experience in so many ways. 'MacGyver' was the most magical and formative experiences that I’ve had. Because of my experience on the show, my work ethic is different. I approach things completely different as an adult. So, it was hard hearing we weren’t coming back for a sixth season.”
